International Hindi Festival (Jan 10 – 12, 2012)

For the past ten years, Aksharam in collaboration with The Pravasi Today Group organises International Hindi Festival – the largest annual global event held. Famous Hindi scholars, writers, intellectuals, expatriate writers, journalists, theater personalities, etc. participate in the event. Every year, the programme receives the support of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

This year, the Festival is being organised from January 10 to 12. The programme will start on the occasion of World Hindi Day on January 10 and will conclude on January 12. The event is organised by Pravasi Duniya ( No 1 NRI Media Group, Aksharam ( International literary organisation, Hansraj College, Delhi University, and is being supported by ICCR and Vishnu Prabhakar Janmstabdi Committee.

The Festival would be inaugurated at Azad Bhavan, New Delhi in collaboration with ICCR. The inauguration would be graced by Dr. Namvar Singh, Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik, Dr. Ashok Chakradhar, eminent writers, journalists, Director General of ICCR, ambassadors  of several countries, senior representatives of Government of India and eminent members of NRI communities.

In the event, alongside many eminent NRI scholars and writers alongwith Indian writers like Chitra Mudgal, Devendra Raj Ankur, Sheen Kaf Nizam, Manoj Srivastava and Kailash Pant, will be felicitated. In the cultural programme theatrical staging of Awara Mesiah and international poetry recitation will be the main attraction.
